The International Centre for Responsible Tourism - India ( ICRT India) is part of a growing network of International Centres on Responsible Tourism. The centres share a common objective, to work with the private sector, government and local communities to “take responsibility for achieving sustainable tourism, and to create better places for people to live in and for people to visit.”

Established in 2006 as a not for profit organisation based in Bangalore, India, ICRT India provides policy advice, research and consultation on developing Responsible Tourism in India.

2nd International Conference on Responsible Tourism in Destinations was held on 21-23 March 2008 in Kochi, Kerala. Organised in association with Kerala Tourism and Incredible India, this was a follow up to the Cape Town declaration of 2002.
